To continuously evaluate and evolve the positioning of third party vendors at retail outlets and manage the effective translation of the value positioning through selection of the best suited product and service categories and by planning and organizing methods to manage the supply chain and related promotional activities.

Participate in discussions within the retail team and provide inputs to the retail development head to assist in the establishment of a unique and quality value proposition for the Vender outlets on on the clients business sites.

CS Targets and Plans

Prepare and communicate sales targets, gross margin requirements and overall revenue plans for all Vendor stores, under the supervision of the Retail Development Head to ensure alignment with the overall business plans for the retail outlets.

Product Range and Category Assessment

Explore products and services that can be present within the retail stores and in line with the agreed value proposition for the convenience stores and based on the customer requirements to ensure a detailed consideration of the product offerings available in the market.

Assess product categories within the identified product range and guide category officer in shortlisting suppliers for product & service lines that will be introduced to the stores based on the targeted sales, gross margins etc.

Monitor and analyze the profitability of the defined categories to identify key areas of improvement, improvise and evolve the product range adopted for the convenience stores.

Sales, Operations and Logistics

Identify bulk operational requirements such as auxiliary equipment and liaise with procurement to source the same.

Ensure development of effective logistical channels internally or through the suppliers of goods for CS stores, to facilitate timely deliveries of all stocks to stores in order to reduce downtime and avoid shortages.

Supervise and monitor the Sales and Operations Planning for each category at the CS stores to ensure effective planning to match demand with supply through efficient forecasting in order to ensure optimal stock levels at the CS stores, revenue optimisation.

Obsolescence management & disposal

Manage obsolescence risk for all product lines by working in partnership with finance and

procurement, to take action to reduce the risk through pricing & offer strategies, incentives etc.

Monitoring and Compliance Checks

Monitor product movement, availability and stockholding to ensure the efficient utilization of

Company’s resources and make sure that convenience stores are equipped with the right quality and quantity of products according to the location needs.

Conform with the standards set forth by the municipality and handle issues relating to routine checks conducted at Outlets.

Vendor Selection and Evaluation

Participate along with the procurement’s team in the tender process for selection of third party vendors for the procurement of supplies and necessary equipment to ensure effective negotiation on price, quantity and terms & conditions.

Evaluate the performance of vendors based on the inputs from the category officer to assess best

options for future tenders.

Store Promotions

Initiate marketing campaigns in conjunction with the advertising and branding section, aimed at

promoting the Vendor concept and creating attractive In-Store promotions.

In coordination with Head of Advertising & Promotions, prepare an advertising calendar based on

aspects of the Vendor concept requiring highlight.

Store Layout and Merchandising

Guide the Category Officer and Merchandiser in establishing an effective merchandising structure

based on agreements made with Suppliers and product performance reviews.

Liaise with Projects Manager to ensure that outlet layouts are in conformity with clients

design specifications.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s in Business Administration; specialization in marketing is preferred

Minimum Experience:

4-6 years of relevant experience with major retail outlets
