Emagine solutions has been retained exclusively by a global leader in multidisciplinary engineering services with a track record in delivering quality infrastructure projects. The successful expansion of their Middle East operation has created an opportunity to attract a new Project Director, Buildings & Infrastructure.
The Project Director will have a leadership role in the growth and development of the Building & Infrastructure portfolio, across the region, supporting the Director, Building & Infrastructure – Middle East and will be responsible for :
Developing the knowledge base and identifying strategic growth opportunities;
Supporting the strategic planning process for the Building & Infrastructure market segment,
Maintaining client networks, and managing key client relationships across the Middle East territory;
Keeping abreast of industry developments;
Ensuring efficient and profitable project delivery;
Championing innovation and demonstrating technical leadership.
Supporting the achievement of business plan targets through timely and cost-effective project delivery, winning work, identifying and implementing operating efficiencies within the buildings & Infrastructure market sector.
Providing support to the Middle East operation in cash collections and working capital management, as appropriate.
Supporting the review of staff utilization and the implementation of necessary changes to maximize operational efficiency.
Promoting and enhancing the company’s profile through innovative solutions, thought leadership and active participation with the clients and stakeholders in the project delivery process.
Supporting the review of the project delivery process within the Civil Infrastructure market sector, and the implementation of effective work planning and project control systems.
Reviewing, with the Director, the technical and financial performance of the market sector projects on a regular basis, and ensure that necessary measures are implemented to ensure profitable performance.
Supporting strategic business development activities by identifying, pursuing and capturing strategic opportunities that are crucial to developing the Middle East business beyond its current offering.
Acting as a primary focal point regarding International Pursuits.
Supporting the preparation of the strategic plan, in collaboration with the Director, to ensure alignment with the overall International strategic planning process.
Supporting strategic recruitment, including the maintenance of a strategic recruitment list.
Supporting the region in the management of resources and redeployment where applicable.
Supporting the engagement and continuous development of staff, report annually on the performance of staff.
Demonstrating a positive, growth – oriented approach to leadership – building on strengths and provide coaching for direct reports.
Self-motivated, a leader.
Advanced knowledge of civil/construction industry practices, regulatory agency requirements and industry standards.
Proficient communication and computer literacy skills (MS Office Suite);
Ability to demonstrate extensive knowledge and experience in project management, project delivery, client management, proposal preparation, quality management & health & safety requirements;
