The job holder is responsible for preparing and reviewing business contracts for the purchase or sale of materials and services. To analyze bids and proposals and ensure that the specifications of binding agreements with customers, vendors, and employees are legal and comply with company policy.
v Contract Management
Oversee MLC contract development and management activities, and enforce organizational principles of integrity and compliance.
Develop standards for contracts, including presentation of budget, payment terms, general language and provisions.
Check the contract terms compliance with logistics business requirements and standards.
Assure accuracy and appropriateness of contract text and attachments.
Conduct contract strategy meetings to identify issues and client requirements, facilitate pricing discussions, and obtain senior management input on timelines and deliverables.
v Legal Compliance
Review the contract terms and conditions in details and identify potential legal risk.
Maintain the contracts validity and ensure renewal on time.
v Contract Negotiations
Negotiate inapproporiate terms and conditions with clients or suppliers to avoid potential financial risks.
Serve as primary organizational contact during contract negotiations.
Engage relevant stakeholders in negotiation decisions involving legal or regulatory requirements, contract standards and cost targets.
v Business Intelligence
Perform appropriate clinical, administrative and operational research to support proposal and contract development.
v Contract Archives
Ensure that contracts and proposals are properly entered into organizational databases and securely maintained.
Manage archives to ensure that all contracts are safe and can be retrieved when required.
v Customer Relations
Cultivate and maintain effective business relationships with existing and new clients to ensure contract terms and conditions are effective.
Review contractual performance of both parties to ensure compliance with terms and to identify conflicts or changes requiring resolution at contract renewal.
v Team Management
Define goals and key performance indicators for each member of the team and ensure effective application of the group’s performance and development review process
Select, develop and coach the team to meet or exceed specific target for contnieoues improvement.
