International Consultant – Digital Assistance Service (Technical Lead) – World Food Programme

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)
 

Under the supervision of Head of IT, the incumbent will perform the following tasks:

Engage with Country Office (CO) stakeholders to support the development Digital Assistance Service (DAS) strategies aligned with Country Strategic Plan (CSP), regional and global strategies.
Capture, document and analyze (i.e. through diagrams, flowcharts, data models, user experience designs, storyboards) business requirements for DAS and either identify workable existing solutions or follow up for potential consideration (e.g. change request), or delivery through local development, outsourced development or off shelf solutions.
Support the Head of IT, in prioritization and coordination of the DAS portfolio to ensure delivery of solutions to business owners.
Coordinate with Cairo Regional Bureau (RBC) and TEC Division resources to ensure prioritization of DAS projects according to CO demands.
Build, and supervise DAS development team and providing technical supervision through, coaching, mentoring to ensure appropriate development and high performance, while identifying and closing capacity gaps as necessary.
Undertake testing measures to ensure solutions meet the design criteria and solve business problems as documented;
Undertake IT assessments in order to assist management in making informed DAS-related operational decisions;
Support on-ground testing, roll-out and/or operations of DAS solution as required;
Support the CO in extending their DAS expertise to partners and Govts, building their capacity in the area of digital solutions in their safety net/ humanitarian programmes.
Perform any other duties as required.
