Charterhouse is working with a leading hospitality restaurant group in Qatar who is looking to hire a General Manager to join its team and oversee multiple brands of casual dining.
As the General Manager you will work as the right-hand man to the Chairman, reporting directly to him, developing and implementing the strategic vision for the group. Your main responsibilities will be to manage the overall business and team of 200. You will also be responsible for the growth and development strategy, whilst working closely with the CEO and acting as the main support for the Chairman. Our client has extensive expansion plans across the casual dining sector. Liaising with operations and the culinary team is a critical element to strengthening and developing the multiple brands.
The successful candidate should have at least 10 – 15 years’ experience within hospitality, and 5 years plus at General Manager level. Experience in casual and upscale casual dining would be an advantage, though leisure retail or entertainment with a focus on food will be considered. You should have experience within the Middle East, preferably in Qatar or have covered Qatar in a previous role. Due to the scope of the role preference will be given to Arabic speaking candidates.
