Supporting the Business Units with a dedicated Corporate credit risk reviewer and satisfies for the growing volume of business to be serviced and risk assessed at RMD Oman.
Liaise with Head of RMD Oman, non-retail banking divisions, ORCC members in credit related discussions. To supervise the robustness of the sanctioning process as well as maintenance of record of sanctions issued for record purposes.
Credit Risk – Assessment of non- retail credit applications
Identify, assess and quantify key risks in all credit applications received from Corporate (including SME) and ensure they are in line with the Local Credit Policy Manual.
Obtain all required documentation in order to perform point a) above.
Prepare executive risk summary, recommendation for review of Line Manager.
Portfolio Management – Corporate
Review and analyse existing corporate portfolio by industry by risk rating and performing and non-performing portfolio.
Involvement in Loan Review Mechanism
Assist in preparation of ICAAP
Supervise credit application sanction process and ensure robustness of the same.
Involvement with LRM (HO team) during LRM exercise being conducted in Oman.
Assist and support Head – RMD Oman in any special ad-hoc projects / duties as may be assigned.
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business economics from an accredited financial institution
Past experience in risk management specifically corporate credit risk with minimum of 8 years in MENASA region. Preferably Oman or GCC region.
Familiarity with Corporate banking and transactions / Corporate banking products
Strong knowledge of corporate credit underwriting
Strong ability to analyse financial statements
Proficiency in Word and Excel
Excellent written/verbal communication skills
Knowledge of Credit and all risk management policies / HO policies and general lending guidelines of UAE
Flexibility and proven ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a high volume environment
Ability to work in a team environment, as well as the ability to take initiative and work independently
Proven ability to interact with various levels of management
Commitment and ability to recommend service, process and policy enhancements which will add value to the Bank
