1. Basic Function
Provide administrative direction to various project staff areas such as Accounting, Controls, Procurement, and support Project Manager in day-to-day project operations.
2. Work Performed
a) Supervise and direct overall activities of staff assigned. Includes planning, assigning and reviewing department activities, circumventing/resolving problem areas, and coordinating manpower requirements.
b) Coordinate/perform project personnel administration activities. Includes approving relocations, transfers, new hires, maintaining project personnel data and orienting new hires, etc.
c) Assist in development, implementation and interpretation of project procedures.
d) Review/interpret contract requirements as required to ensure client needs are met.
e) Prepare special reports, studies, statistical analysis at supervisor’s request.
f) May act as liaison between own group/supervisor and others, such as other departments, external contacts, and clients.
g) Perform additional assignments per Project Manager’s direction.
a) 4 years business or technical degree.
b) 6 – 8 years general business/administrative experience (at least 3-4 directly related to heavy or plant construction).
c) Knowledge of company policies, procedures, contract requirements and construction management functions such as accounting, cost control, procurement, etc.
d) Proficient communicative, interpersonal/organizational skills mandatory.
